What this site is

SmartBikeWiki compiles two things and keeps them apart: what a manufacturer claims, and what a named independent reviewer reported when they measured the product. The database holds both, each with its source link and check date. Scope is connected indoor cycling only.

Who publishes it

SmartBikeWiki is an independent research publication, published under the name SmartBikeWiki editorial. No individual is named as an author, and we do not use invented reviewer profiles. It has been live since July 2026. Every fact is checked against its cited source, and each page gets a separate review pass before it is published. Read how we research and the editorial policy.

How we research

Specs come from the manufacturer's own product page or spec table and are recorded as stated. Prices are the price shown on the manufacturer's US store on the check date. "Published findings" are paraphrased from a named reviewer's page, with the model they actually tested and a link.

We do not run a lab or road tests. We do not measure power accuracy, noise or ride feel. We do not assign scores or star ratings. Where a number is missing because we could not read a primary source, the page says so instead of estimating. The full method and the list of known gaps are public.

Corrections and updates

Prices are re-checked monthly and specs quarterly or when a product launches. Material changes go in a dated log on the page or in the database change log. If you spot an error, email [email protected] (see contact) and we will verify and correct it. Fixes are listed with their dates on the corrections log.

Images

We do not use press photos or editorial photography. Where a product needs a visual, the page shows a spec diagram built from the database.
